Not to anyone's surprise I suppose. 5 and 3/4 he would reply, if you asked him how old he is. Taller and skinnier everyday! His appetite allows him to eat more than me at dinner time, and then plead for a snack before bed.
He really enjoyed his T-Ball clinic this past month and will try soccer in May. The mini-classes focus on beginner skills and were just what we needed to encourage Connor to participate in the activities he loves. And they have proved themselves to be great "energy spenders" on these cold and rainy days we are still having!
He also celebrated his one hundredth day of school. He likes school "OK" and readily admits that his favorite part is riding the bus. His early reading skills are improving everyday, so much so that Allen and I can no longer spell "secret" words to each other, like Red Robin or bed time.
He has become a big Star Wars fan (thanks to some school friends and a bit of encouragement from Dad). We regularly enjoy performances by "Luke Skywalker" and "Princess Leia" (or "pincess weigh-a" as Ella would pronounce it). And with the help of his Legos he has produced impressive x-wings, storm trooper-mobiles, and even an R2D2.
He is a great big brother to Ella and Owen and tries very hard to be patient and obedient. He loves loves loves his Daddy and every once in awhile will still ask to be held and rocked by his Mama. Full of curiosity, laughter and goodness, we love our little Connor who is not so little anymore.
